A BEGINNING_expanded version
PREMIERED in JULY 2023 - FESTIVAL GREC
A BEGINNING_expanded version is a piece for ten performers that explores the relationship between voice, light, and movement. Positioned halfway between musical composition and choreographic writing, we propose a scenic piece in which live singing and lights manipulated by the performers themselves are central to the construction of a dramaturgical narrative about the (re)beginning of the world.
A BEGINNING_expanded version is, as its name indicates, the expanded version of the piece A BEGINNING. In this version, we have a total of 10 performers: the original 5 from the piece, plus another 5 local performers. Through several sessions of work with the local performers, we transmit the materials of the piece to them and incorporate them into it. This allows us to increase the scenic volume of the work, its emotional impact, as well as delve deeper into the artistic dialogue we establish with the territory in question.
